We Knew It: Chicks Dig Tractors (Well at least one does)

A 17-year old British girl recently won first prize at an English tractor show. She did a frame up resto-job on a 1963 Ford Dexta tractor and completed the entire project by herself. She comes from a family who has been involved in the restoration of tractors for several generations, so it seems like a natural fit. We think it rules!

We got tipped off to this story by Rob Einaudi who is the editor of the CarDomain.com blog and a friend of ours here at BangShift.com. He knew we had an unhealthy fondness for tractors and thought we’d love this story. We do.

Gemma Pulsford beat out 220 other entires to win the show, an impressive feat. Apparently she caught the tractor bug from her grandfather. He’s been at this madness for years, and her family has amassed a collection of 25 tractors, many of which are waiting for love.

This is the first machine she has restored totally by herself. Obviously she’s got skills as the Dexta is a beaut!

Thanks to Rob for the tip!
