Yikes! Tractor Trailer Crashes into Massachusetts Home; No One Seriously Hurt

Imagine pulling up to your house to see an 18-wheeler sticking out of it. Specifically the rear half of an 18-wheeler, as the front half is in your living room and kitchen. That was the scene that greeted Roger Castell of Leicester, Massachusetts, on Monday morning.  The News Telegram ran story about the aftermath of the wreck. Castell seems to have a sense of humor, cracking jokes about the “kid in the balloon hoax” story from a few days ago.

The truck was hit by a driver in a BMW who ran a stop sign. Apparently the impact from that crash caused the steering on the truck to fail and it careened more than 200 feet before coming to rest inside of Castell’s home. Luckily the driver and a passenger in the truck were not injured in the wreck. The driver of the BMW was cited by police for failure to stop at a stop signal and failure to use caution at an intersection. We can only imagine the bill the BMW drivers’ insurance company is going to be staring down for this one.

In a very bizarre twist to the story, we are nearly 100 percent certain that the driver of the big rig lives less than a quarter mile up the street from the East Coast BangShift.com HQ.
