Sure, this news is from last week, but frankly we didn’t see anyone else pick up on it, so we’re snatching it up like a bum on a ham sandwich. With New GM blazing toward profitability and leaving the shattered dreams of Old GM in the dust, some eggs are being broken to make the New GM omelette.

Many of those eggs look like motorsports contracts. The company has ditched dozens of contracts that it magically is no longer responsible for honoring. Lots of sports teams, event sponsorships, and promotional programs have met the ax.
