To me, one of the coolest parts of the PRI show was checking out stuff from the world of circle track racing that I am not nearly as familiar with as I am drag racing stuff. There were lots of vendors at PRI selling everything from suspension components to entire chassis to meet the needs of round trackers. By far, the coolest display of old race cars that go fast and turn left was tucked at the end of the hall. With everything from V8-60 midgets to bad ass Modifieds lined up for display and inspection from show goers, I had a hoot of a time looking these cars over.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but this is one line of cars I would kill to take on a one by one test thrash. Can you imagine how much fun beating on that Dodge around a banked dirt oval would be? My heart races at the possibility! not to mention the sheer balls the dudes had to climb into what were little more than crude go karts with V8 engines (yea, I know, low HP V8 engines, but still!
