(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – 1st even for us this year. We contacted a couple people and ended up speaking with event director Greg who let us in early Saturday morning so we could get some shots before crowds of people swarmed the Duke Entergy Center in Downtown Cincy. Making things difficult for the weekend was the Bengals in a late-season game later that day. Tons of folks and parking prices that we dramatically higher.
We entered the main hall from the back so the first thing we ran into was the Cornfield Customs booth and a very interesting build we are following – the Wyke ’32 sedan. When this is done it will be epic. This stuff was in a part of the show called ‘survivors alley’ and is chuck full with all manner of tradition and not-so-traditional stuff that si equally interesting.
A few high points in this collection-
Corvair van sporting a tunnel-rammed BBC
Cool-as-can-be, period-correct vans
Some wild bikes
Couple rides that did the ‘Race of Gentlemen’
Who did the spell-check on that one….? Oh….that was me. I’ll do better next time.
