(Photos by Joe Grippo) – The other day we showed you some awesome Joe Grippo stock eliminator photos from the NHRA Dutch Classic 2015 and today we’re ramping up the horsepower with images depicting the super stock class. Of course super stock was an outgrowth of stock and it has taken on a life of its own in the 50+ years that it has been around. When you look at the gamut that super stock runs it is second only to stock in the potential elapsed time spreads one will see at an event. The work that is done with engines that would otherwise be discarded by standard issue hot rodder is amazing and the skill shown by drivers who are champions is also fun to watch.
Add horsepower, add tire, and more more mechanical and chassis modification and what you get is the wheels up, ground pounding world of super stock. We love it and you will totally love these images from Joe Grippo!
