This 1967 Dodge Dart Sedan Is One Tough Looking Street Sweeper

There are some cars out there that simply exude an attitude that can only be described as tough. This 1967 Dart is one of those cars. Dark blue paint with a black tail stripe, steel wheels, a muscled up 340 engine and a spartan but functional interior all equal one thing and that’s “success” on the streets if you know what we mean. This 340 has been bored over, topped with aluminum heads, stabbed with a cam, and generally worked over hard enough to really be a player out there during the late night muscle car street fights. If you have ever heard a truly angry 340 Chrysler small block, you know that there is nothing that sounds like it. Depending on the cam and other factors, these engines normally sound like they are about to fall apart but when the throttle blades open it is mechanical music all the way. The .580 lift solid roller may help to make that kind of noise.

Here’s the text of the ad right from eBay. The seller does a better job with the details than we ever could. We are just in love with the looks of this one and any time you pulled into a cruise night, car show, or the drag strip, people would surely take notice. Like a bar brawler clenching his fists while sizing up a room, this Dart seems to be looking for a fight all the time. Here’s the rest of the details on the car –

That’s my kind of car. Understated at first glance but packing plenty of go for those who know. Would love to hear it run…

Neat car, I have a soft spot for 67s as my first was a 67 hardtop with a 273. I think the car would look better if he had left the paint in the vertical slots of the grille and headlight bezels though.

LOVE this car! I had a 67 Dart GT that I bought for $600 in 1976. Drove it all over the country. I think the guy had never changed the oil, because I had to put a long block in it the second year.

After that I put another 100k on it. Never had the money to build the engine I wanted, so I ran the slant six and dreamed about a 340/four speed until my brother wrecked it trying to reach for a sandwich while driving.

I still miss that car. This is the best one I’ve ever seen.

I agree, I would rather see the paint on the grill and headlight surrounds.
