1970-1972 Monte Carlos are awesome. Maybe it’s because I grew up in one, but also because although they are big they are super smooth and clean looking. Plus, there are some inherent reasons why you would want to build one into a Pro Touring terror. But Chad, it’s a big boat you say… Well, that boat is a GM A-Body, which means bad ass suspension components practically install themselves on these suckers. Plus, the can hold any engine you could ever want to stuff in one, and the 4 inches of additional wheelbase compared to a 2-door Chevelle is all found between the firewall and front wheels. That means the engine is set waaayyyyy back in one of these suckers and they only weigh about 250 lbs more than their little brother the Chevelle. Do some lightening and this thing could be genius in every way. This one is a good start, check it out.
