You may be having a crummy day today and that stinks but since we’re nice guys and we’re always looking to help BangShifters keep their spirits high, we have found a story that makes your bad day look like a waltz through Disney land. Thomas Young, a 58 year old truck driver out of Indiana was hauling a load of milk through Hermitage, Pennsylvania when he took a fateful gulp out of a can of Dr. Pepper and began choking. Apparently he as choking so violently that he completely lost control of his rig and traveled an incredible distance before powering into a Cadillac-Buick-GMC dealer, destroying 23 cars. We’re pretty sure that’s a new record of some sort. We’re working on certifying it.

As you will see in the video below, the truck left the roadway, went through a field, apparently struck some telephone poles, and by the sounds of it had plenty of time to stop before turning into rolling sledgehammer. The wreck was so violent cars were actually pushed into the showroom. We are having a hard time visualizing that but we can see it happening. It is one thing to damage the cars outside the building but you know that you’re a total boss when you can also wreak havoc on the cars inside it as well.

We’re guessing about a million bucks in cars were mangled there. If you take an average sale price of $45k between the Caddies, trucks, and Buicks and multiply it by 23 you come up with a shade over a million. The trucking company’s insurance is going to be taking a hit, that is for sure. Premiums next year will be on the rise without a shadow of a doubt.

The good thing is that no one was hurt and while several people likely cried over the destroyed cars, no one cried over spilled milk. The biggest winner in all of this? The wrecker company who was tasked with the job of “Un-EFFING” the situation. You can see them in the background a couple of times with multiple heavy duty wreckers trying to move the big truck out. What an invoice that must have been!
