Someone In Florida Built A Horrible Looking Diamond Plate Body On A Postal Jeep And Wants $76,000 For It

Someone In Florida Built A Horrible Looking Diamond Plate Body On A Postal Jeep And Wants $76,000 For It

AJ Cortes is the guy that we need to point the blame at for finding this creation on Craigslist somewhere in Florida. Look, the seller wants $76,000 for what you see here which is basically an old Postal Jeep chassis with a steel diamond plate body. The good news is that they only missed the actual value of this thing by about $75,500. The seller speaks of the car as some sort of art project and we get that but what we don’t get is where they decided to come up with the $76,000 price. The “seats” are diamond plate for Pete’s sake. 15 minutes in this thing on public roads that weren’t glass-like in their smoothness would leave you with life long back problems.

The funny thing is that the seller won’t actually admit that this is an old postal Jeep but coincidentally there are some postal Jeep parts in the steering, and braking department. Who saw that coming?! The seller advertises this car as a “show stopper” and it is. If you were to drive this through a dog show, a pony show, a radio show, or a fashion show, that show would stop. It would stop and all of the people in it would mock you openly. If you pulled into a car show no one would make eye contact with you and the ones who did should strike fear into you.

We could go on for days but maybe this is some sort of a witty prank. Read the ad text below, look at the photos and then consider your own life for a while. Do that and smile.

Here’s the text of the ad in case it is pulled or the thing is sold….HAHAHA…sorry we had to –

For sale – a 2003 “Janx” art piece vehicle as titled by the artist and designer — Yvonne Yolande Middlecamp Jackson. It is constructed of diamond back stainless steel and built for durability, not speed. This is an uncompleted project and being sold “as is”. Its chassis is fabricated solid stainless steel and the small flat bed is meant for groceries and light hauling. This is a project piece for the person that has the time, capital and a lot of passion to invest Looking for a “show stopper”? — This one of a kind project piece would be the Holy Grail for any collection.
The steering box is from a 1978 Postal Jeep. The emergency brake is from a 1978 Postal Jeep and is not assembled and has been chromed. It has Stuart gauges. The steering wheel is Stainless steel. The engine is a straight six with an automatic transmission. The gas tank is Stainless steel. The front and back bumpers are double piping stainless. There are two built in drain holes in Y shapes on the floor and the bed for water drainage. There is a split windshield for 2 separate pieces of glass. There are old tires and rims from a 1979 Postal Jeep. The entire body of this project is of quarter inch thick diamond back stainless steel. It is a very heavy and solid piece of art.
Quote from the designer — “I have owned many antique and unique cars throughout my life. I just wanted one that was one of a kind, durable and fabricated.” – Yvonne Y. M. Jackson, Artist and Designer.

You know, the world is full of nutjobs – this only would be news if someone bought it for anything more than scrap price.

*and really, that is the nicest comment I could come up with; I could make reference to her looks, drug usage, and Florida – but I won’t because I’m being nice today.

Its an art car. In this case the car is part of “performance art.” The Craigslist ad is part of the art. The buyer becomes part of the performance, too. — Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy art. I smile at some art cars and I can even appreciate some performance art. This one… well… some turds are just turds. There are some turds that are simply too gooey or runny or smelly to be polished. This is one of those turds…

The letters they have cut into the panels are self explanatory – Y .

That’s what I’m asking WHY WHY WHY.

When you bump into people like this – its always short YES and NO answers and definatley NO eye contact and try and get the hell away from them – far far away.

YYY WHY WHY WHY $76k Again why why

The only good reason they are asking 76k for this is to pay for mental health treatment issues – and if that’s the case they are going to need every penny of that 76k.

LOL LOL actually laughed so hard had a LBL OOPS more LOL

…AND it would appear somebody doesn’t know the difference between stainless steel and aluminum…

That right-hand drive just screams ‘postal jeep’ and did she glue that thing together??! She don’t look like that kind that could weld aluminum ‘stack of dimes’ style
