Burnout Monday: Start Your Day Off With A Drifting General Lee From Italy!

If you’ve seen even one episode of The Dukes of Hazzard, you’d believe that the only way to drive a 1969 Dodge Charger on Vector wheels was sideways on dirt. Well…that and the occasional low-level flight, but Warner Brothers made an attempt or two to shift your focus to the fresh General Lee in the next scene as they carted off the remains of the last Flying Mopar to the scrapyard. Bo Duke always seemed to be bent on hanging the tail of the Charger out wherever he went, and ever since that has been a Mopar staple in films, from lowly Diplomat cop cars on up.

Courtesy of YouTuber “19Bozzy92”, we have footage of a General Lee clone in Italy doing exactly what you’d expect it to. The driver is Federico Sceriffo, an Italian drifter who has run such rides as a Subaru Impreza and a Toyota Soarer (first-gen Lexus SC) in professional drifting circuits. Romping a big-block Dodge around might not be his usual fare, but we believe he’s having the time of his life behind the wheel.

You mean the DofH Charger ISN’T the best handling car ever and the show was all just bullshit? Thanks for bursting another bubble for me! What other bombshells are you gonna drop?
