Where do we start with WelderUp’s “Project Overcharged” 1968 Dodge Charger? It looks like an extra from the set of Mad Max: Fury Road. Hiked up on a completely custom frame and powered by the most force-fed Cummins six cylinder diesel this side of a tractor pull, just the mechanical bits alone would be enough to take an hour to cover. Then you look at the vehicle itself: hoodless, with “t-tops” cut into the roof, and the overall appearance of a riveted tank…it’s one way of looking at a Charger, but as far as a good way…well, not sure what to think here, to be quite honest. It’s still a Charger and still has the right shape and menace, and it’s cool to see it compared to a lifted Wrangler, but something seems lost in translation. Or maybe it’s just us. Take a look and let us know what you think about this monster.
“You can’t see out of the damn thing”
Just as well then you won’t see those blower drive chains on their way to slice someone’s head off when they snap….
My first thought was “if Tom Beatty ran a chain-driven blower, I would too.” Second thought was my uncertainty on whether he did or not.
Time to dig through the Hop Up collection…
I don’t like many things without hoods. This one is not an exception. Keep it tucked in.
What happened to that “Twiggy” girl? I noticed she wasn’t on anymore. Just wondered.
This is awful.
This is the automotive equivalent of a beautiful model getting a face tattoo.
I really want to hate this thing…but the 12 year old in me is yelling “Hell Ya”. That 12 year old gets me into a lot of shit situations.
