Some big industry news is breaking today with the announcement that PBM Performance Group has acquired World Products Automotive Division from Bill Mitchell. Of course World produces high performance blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds and complete engines. Mitchell founded the company decades ago and has been overseeing its operation ever since from its New York state based headquarters. PBM is the current owner of Erson camshafts and the company maintains several large warehouses around the country to fill the needs of engine builders. By bringing the World brand into their fold the company feels that they can greater serve those needs and better serve their customers in the high performance engine building community.
Bill Mitchell is certainly a guy well known for his dedication to building quality products and we firmly believe that he wouldn’t part with his hard built brand to anyone other than an organization that would both continue to keep its standards high while growing it into new areas he hadn’t taken it yet.

PBM Performance Group Acquires
World Products Automotive Division
PBM Performance Group of Louisville, Kentucky, is excited to announce the acquisition of World Products Automotive Division. The PBM Group includes Engine Parts Warehouse, a supplier to engine builders across the continent, Erson Cams and PBM, both manufactures’ of high performance engine components.
World Products, based out of Ronkonkoma, New York, was born out of the necessity for new and improved performance based heads and engine blocks. The company’s cast iron Merlin big blocks and heads, Motown line and the Man O’War iron blocks for Fords set the standard and created the market for aftermarket engines. PBM plans to continue the performance and quality heritage that is expected with every World Products component.

All World product iron blocks and heads will be manufactured in the USA to ISO 9000 standards. The OE and industrial offerings of World Products will remain as part of Bill Mitchell Products.
