Let’s face facts. If you are a big block Chrysler guy and you want to upgrade your existing engine to a nice high performance aluminum head or maybe build a really hot street motor with an aluminum head, your options are pretty limited. Trick Flow Specialties is changing the game for you fat block Mopar lovers out there with the addition of the Power Port 240 cylinder head that you can check out in the photos below. Additionally, there’s also some photos of an intake manifold that the Trick Flow crew has been working on and testing as well. The 240 stands of the size of the intake runners which measure to 240cc. The team at Trick Flow spent a lot of time working on the port design in these heads and their work has paid off according to Mike Downs, the man steering the good ship Trick Flow. We got a detailed look at the heads and we came away impressed. The quality of the casting is very high, the deck is nearly 9/16″ thick, the CNC work in the ports and the 78cc combustion chambers is pretty amazing, and they even went so far as to work with the oiling in the head to both relocate it to aid in port shaping but also to improve it so that your valve train is never starved of the lubricant that keeps it alive.
This is the company’s first foray into the Chrysler realm and they wanted to make sure that they were leading with the right product. As you will see from the information below, they really are coming into the fight with their guns loaded. These heads are great out of the box pieces and with the runner sized as it is, they’d be a sweet street head, should work with boost nicely, and would be a great upgrade to any iron headed race motor as well. They followed the five Ps rule here it seems. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Trick Flow used all of its airflow engineering expertise to create Ultimate Bolt-On PerformanceTM for big block Chrysler fans. The all-new PowerPort 240 Cylinder Heads are engineered to deliver big flow in a cost-effective package.
The castings are made from premium grade A356-T61 aluminum, with extra material added to critical areas to support high compression and RPMs. The oil holes for the rocker shafts are relocated to improve airflow and allow for a more optimized runner design, and the rocker shaft bosses are reinforced and strengthened to better handle the stresses of high performance use. All machining operations will be performed using the finest CNC tooling to ensure proper dimensional accuracy and balanced flow from runner-to-runner.
Designed to fit Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth 383-440 B and RB engines, the PowerPort 240 Cylinder Heads work with all factory-style pistons, roller rocker arms, intake manifolds, and headers, making these heads an affordable performance upgrade. The heads come fully assembled with valves, valve springs, locks, and retainers.
Trick Flow expects the new PowerPort 240 heads to be available in 2015. Visit TrickFlow.com for specification updates and availability announcements.

I think that we should start a write-in campaign, something along the lines of ” Dear TrickFlow, we the frequenters and fans of Bangshift know of a certain gray Imperial with a prospective RB block swap in-progress. We know for certain that the owner would be glad to torture-test a set of these heads for you, if you’re interested. Please send them to Kentucky, care of: Unknown Parts Counter Guy.”
Would be nice if they did the same for the Mopar small block Magum 360 ci engine. There is only one choice by Edelbrock.
Don’t overlook the EQ castings for small block mopar. Yeah, they’re iron but they make kickass power, even compared to the Edelbrocks.
And now the guys from Chrysler Power magazine CPPA have put out some new aluminum small block heads along with Bruce Toth/Toth performance
