The now classic Chevrolet CK or OBS Sport Truck is one of the hottest (priciest) rides of this generation. While everyone wants that retro single-cab truck, the SUVs of the era, including the iconic Tahoe have the same style, and platform and are easier to find for less.
And we are starting off with a special edition Tahoe based on a Tahoe SS concept that was never made. In the year 2000, as new body-style trucks and SUVs were on their way….Chevrolet combined the increased handling and performance of the Police Package Tahoe, with some styling cues from the Tahoe SS and all the luxury of the time period they could to produce only 8,500 Tahoe Limited SUVs.
For the first episode, we take a look at the unique features that make the one-year-only 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Limited and the repair and restoration work needed before we dive into customizing the SUV. From replacing broken door handles and accessories to swapping outdated tail lights for modern and clean LED lights all around.
In the next video, the Tahoe will head to Auto Sauce for a complete detail and paint correction in an attempt to revive the 20-plus-year-old black paint.
