One of the most successful cruise nights in SoCal is the NHRA Motorsports Museum Prolong Twilight Cruise. Prolong and the NHRA Museum have been putting on these events for years, and each week they are packed. Guys specifically get out of work early to get out to Pomona and show off their rides. By 6pm the place is seriously thinning out, and the cool kids all get there by 4. It’s nuts. Hundreds of cars fill the parking lot in front of the NHRA Wally Parks Motorsports Museum, and we’re not just talking run of the mill hot rods. Sure, anyone is welcome and there are tons of cars you expect to see at any event. But how about Jack O’Bannon and his Blown 9 second Willy’s?
It’s just one of several bitchin cars he owns and brings out on a regular basis. The multi time NHRA National Champion knows a thing or two about hot rods. Prudhomme, Dave “Mac” McClelland , Tom McEwen, and plenty of other NHRA greats and hot rod builders of all kinds, regularly attend. It’s a whose who kind of deal. You just gotta come and see for yourself.
