Chryslers At Carlisle 2014: Sweet Wagons, Vans, and Trucks – The Coolest Of The Cool

Chryslers At Carlisle 2014: Sweet Wagons, Vans, and Trucks – The Coolest Of The Cool

(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Our man Grippo was on the scene recently at the famed Chryslers at Carlisle show where some of the coolest, most rare, unique, and sought after Chrysler products showed up to gleam in the sun or occupy some shade under the huge tents that were on the grounds. We’re not really caring about all that stuff today, though because Joe sent us this collection of photos featuring nothing but trucks, vans, and station wagons. How bitchin’ is that? We’ve got tons more stuff coming from the event but we wanted to lead with this stuff because we like it so much.

From wood grained wagons to sweet little vans, to camper topped units that are fit for any budding cult leader, this gallery has lots of personality. On the trucks side you’ll see some really nice 1970s era examples but our favorite is The Dude pickup that you will see. If this is a real “Dude” model than it is worth some scratch because truck aficionados know that they only made about 1500-2000 of them between 1970-1971. It was basically a stripe and appearance package but it is still a neat piece with the big C-stripe on the side and the dude letting, etc.

We’ll bring on the muscle stuff hot and heavy tomorrow but today we’re going with the working man’s choices. Vans, wagons, and trucks!

Just a suggestion: When your readers open up a slideshow, all they want to do is view the photos. We don’t give a rat’s behind about other galleries, news, videos, etc. So why have that useless menu wasting space at the top, and forcing us to scroll down to see each picture? Time to fire your web designer, and find someone who uses common sense.
