If there were ever a pro drag racer edition of the now defunct MTV show “Cribs” we’re thinking that Jeg Coughlin Jr. would have owned it…hands down. An Ohio news station is reporting that Coughlin has placed his Delaware (Ohio) home up for sale and it is the most expensive real estate listing in central Ohio at $4.99 million bucks. Simply put, the place is incredible. We have some photos of the home below and then there is a link to a bunch more images that were presumably taken by the realtor in putting together the listing.
The Coughlin family has been very successful on the drag strip and in the office as the Jeg’s High Performance mail order company rose to prominence over the years, starting as a single small location in Columbus and exploding into a nationwide network of warehouses and shipping centers that can deliver virtually whatever your little hot rodding heart desires in a window that is often less than 48 hours.
With multiple generations of success in straight line competition, the latest generation of Coughlin racer, TJ (Troy’s son) has already begun to make a name for himself in pro modified after establishing himself for years as a killer in bracket and index racing). The family is a true American success story and these digs are proof. Along with the house are some options to buy additional land. The news story makes a confusing reference to a drag strip on or near the property but we no of no drag strips in or around Delaware, Ohio.
Anyway, check this place out!

Check out Google Maps. There appears to be a concrete launch pad and an asphalt strip running W/E just North of the pond. 1/4 mile…maybe…with good brakes. BS world HQ???
It’s still less than 5 mil. It should make a great BS global headquarters.
Real Estate Rules 101
#1 The primary driver when it come to price is ..
Location … Location .. Location
The problem with this property being … its located in the wrong damn state as well as the wrong area of that state to justify a price of that magnitude … regardless of size … quality … bling etc . That is .. unless either ole ‘ Slow Hand’ or ‘ The Face ‘ has a wealthy mate wanting to escape the crowds and go hide in Ohio as well …… 😉
Oh … and rule number 2 ? You NEVER want to have the most expensive piece of real estate in either the town , county … or especially the state you’re in . And I do mean …. NEVER !
They oughta just donate the whole thing to a really good charity and write it off on their taxes, as an entertainment expense….

No pix of the garage, not a successful listing.
