Danica Patrick suffered a massive crash in today’s first Gatorade Duel at Daytona International Speedway. She walked away from the scary crash with no apparent injuries. This was a wild one where the car became an guided missile and smashed the wall on the infield with tremendous speed behind it. We have not heard what this will do for her weekend, but that one had to have hurt a little. If not now, certainly tomorrow!

I wonder if they are trained to do what she did before impact? Once when I went from 60 to zero in 0.003 seconds I broke my arm severely from bracing against the steering wheel. What she does would prevent that, although she did look like the kid from Home Alone.
Yup, that’s training.
Hands off the steering wheel (breaks your wrists and thumbs otherwise) and press on helmet to keep them from hitting the cage or steering wheel (may break one or more fingers too), feet off the pedals (may break your ankles too).
I just watched her after the Crash interview, no Bitchin, no Whinning, no pointing fingers, she was really cool about it and said she hopes her back up car is faster, had it have been some of the other NASCAR drivers, well you know what I mean!
That was a huge hit.
She’s still learning stock cars.
She was in the lead pack,nothing wrong with that.
