Fail or Win? That’s the question when it comes to one of the more interesting automotive event mashups we’ve ever heard of. The event, held in England, was half Knight Rider convention and half TVR owners club get together.
The TVR owners club part sounds pretty sweet to us. TVRs are notoriously wicked cars that sport V8 power in chassis that are, well, historically not as well sorted out as they could be for the power levels they are processing. The major excitement from this portion of the event came from a, “one minute rev up.” With all the cars apparently running and throwing revs at each other.
The second half of the event was a Knight Rider convention. The TV show was cool to watch when we were kids, and like all kid-like activities, there are people who get hung up on them for the duration of their lives. Seeing as “The Hoff” has global appeal we shouldn’t be suprised that so many people across the pond love the show.
With respect to the gearheaded aspect of the Knight Rider convention, nearly 12 KITT replicas showed up, including the one owned by the event organizer Rob Ormondroyd. Featured guests included Michael Scheffe who was one of the designers of the original KITT.
We think the lead photo kind of sums it up.
