File this one under “so wrong it’s right”. We found video of a little Geo Tracker that has been muscled up by time with the addition of a small block Ford V8, a whole bunch of nitrous, huge chassis modifications, and an obviously upgraded rear end pulling a gigundo wheelie at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Georgia. This nefarious little truck isn’t exactly a sleeper because it sounds full tilt, so the element of surprise is gone as far as it being fast, but we were surprised as all get-out when we saw it hike the tires on the hit and carry a near vertical, bumper dragging wheel stand, to about out the eighth mile or maybe more at SGMP.
Like the gasser guys in the 1960s that took previously weak kneed little cars and turned them into the iconic racing machines we still love to look at and learn about, this Geo follows the same ethos. Little car, big motor, beefed driveline, and big speed. The only thing we’ve ever wanted to see a Geo do before was burn to the ground. This one? We want to see this one eat up guys in muscle cars and drag machines at the strip. Maybe the with exhaust on it’s quiet enough to clean house at the stop light grand prix as well. We want one!
