eBay Find: The Cleanest 1971 Chevy Caprice on Earth

eBay Find: The Cleanest 1971 Chevy Caprice on Earth

Every now and again a car will hit the web that appears to have been in a time warp. This amazing 1971 Caprice coupe is one of those cars. It literally appears to have rolled off the lot yesterday. Every piece of documentation is present, the freakin’ paper bag the spare keys came in is present and accounted for and the seller claims that the 400ci small block is in perfect running order. Oh yeah, it only has about 4,700 miles on it as well.

Sure, this is not a performance car, but how can you not be awe-stricken by the fact that it has suffered virtually no signs of wear or even use in nearly 40 years of life? According to the guy selling the car it is the literal “old lady” situation that never seems to exist anymore. The original owner bought the car but spent more time driving her other vehicle because the Caprice was so large. It was then sold to another man who drove it infrequently and last had it registered in 1979/1980. From there it was garage kept, driven around the block, and left to rest for all these years.

As we write this the bidding has crested $14,000 and there are still five days to go. We’d expect this one to be the most expensive 1971 Caprice coupe ever sold. It’s got to be the cleanest one left.
