Our pal Les Mayhew makes some of the coolest nostalgia drag racing videos you’ll find anywhere, bar none. He’s tossed up another winner using footage he took last week at a pre- March Meet test session for all the big nitro hitters. There were a pile of nostalgia floppers and front engine dragsters on the grounds of Famoso last weekend and Wes captured all the highlights. There were guys ripping into the 5.70s in funny car as well as some dragster guys laying down big numbers as well. He even got gnarly slow motion footage of Jim Murphy’s dragster exploding on a burnout, belching fire and parts everywhere!
We’re freaking cranked up and ready to go for this week’s LIVE AND FREE BROADCAST OF THE 2013 MARCH MEET and this isn’t helping our lack of sleep situation at all. You’ll see the all new Mr. Explosive Mustang in this video, the new Northwest Hitter, and a ton of other fresh cars getting their chops wet and ready to go from qualifying round number one on Thursday at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield!
