John Fogerty rose to fame as the front man of the legendary band Creedence Clearwater Revival and has gone on to have a great solo career. There was all kinds of crazy legal stuff that went on between CCR, the record label, and teams of lawyers to the point that Fogerty was actually sued for stealing one his own songs years ago. It seems that all the legal stuff is behind him now and Fogerty continues to tour and release music. I’ve seen him in concert a couple of times and the guy can still bring it with his signature voice and great guitar skills. As many people know, Fogerty was born and raised in California which is funny because he gained so much fame signing about swamps, bayous, and woodland living as the lead man in CCR.
This song is a good listen from his 1997 album Blue Moon Swamp which was so well received that it won the Grammy for best rock album that year. A simple song about hitting the road, dropping the top, and hauling ass. It makes us think of summer while snow and ice literally blanket the ground outside BS eastern world HQ this morning.
