In a previous life, when we had a job that required us to oversee a company fleet operation, we worked a deal with a company called Drive Cam, which installed unique cameras in our trucks. Drive Cam makes video cameras that constantly record, but they dump the footage unless they are triggered to save it by their internal gyroscope. If a car or truck equipped with the camera gets jostled, it holds onto 10 seconds before the bump and 10 seconds after. This nuts video of a cabby going Joie Chitwood was taken with one of their cameras. Amazingly, the guy lived.
The driver in the video is violating nearly every rule of driving at the time of the wreck. He’s sleepy, not belted in, driving with one hand, leaning over the passenger seat, and for good measure we’ll even guess he was speeding. Note the dude’s t-shirt as well.
