Celebrity Car Death Match: The Indestructible 1968 Ford F-100 From Mr Majestyk VS The Unstoppable 1982 Dodge Ramcharger From Lone Wolf McQuade (W/Video!)

Celebrity Car Death Match has become a bonafide national craze (because Chad and I live on opposite coasts and laugh like idiots coming up with the fights!) and cannot be stopped. The list of match ups is ever growing and more intense by the day. Don’t believe us? Today’s fight pits two of the  greatest bad asses against one another or more specifically two of the greatest movie bad asses’ vehicles against one another. But first, who took the hotly contested battle yesterday?

Bob Falfa continues his losing streak. That actor will never work in this town again! Oh, he still is?[/box_dark]

Now it is time to get down to business. You have to be strong willed and icy-veined today because we have the 1968 Ford F-100 from the Charles Bronson classic Mr. Majestyk taking on the 1982 Dodge Ramcharger of Chuck Norris in Lone Wolf McQuade. Both of these are hero trucks and remember…we’re voting on the trucks, not the actors (or immortal strong men as is the case with Norris). Here’s the run down –

Our first combatant entering the ring is an unassuming two wheel drive, 1968 Ford F-100 truck owned by one Vince Majestyk who is a former Army Ranger and current melon farmer in rural Colorado. Long story short, Majestyk runs afoul of some truly bad guys and they’re trying to kill him. Bad news for them is that they picked a guy who is (a) a certified bad ass who they’re not going to kill and (b) a guy who owns a truck that is tougher than most armored military vehicles. How tough is this truck? Watch the awesome eight minute chase video where it is repeatedly jumped, bashed, smashed, slid, and hammered over rocks, cliffs, berms and other junk. Said truck also kills a few full sized Mopars that the bad guys are driving. There are few (apparently) stock vehicles that have ever taken this level of beating on film and lived to tell the tale. Yes, this truck was still running and driving at the end of the movie. The simple hand lettering on the doors and awful yellow color make it even better. It sure seems like this truck is up for a good fight! Does it have enough to take on the Ramcharger in the other corner? Let’s find out!

Rumbling and blower whining away in the far corner of the celebrity car death match cage of doom is the Chuck Norris driven 1982 Dodge Ramcharger that pulls off one of the greatest automotive feats in cinematic history during the movie Lone Wolf McQuade. Like our pal above McQuade is a guy who fights the good fight and does so on his own terms. After getting into the middle of an arms deal gone wrong, Norris (as McQuade) is in the fight of his life to save his family and stop the evil doers plan. His ride through the whole movie is a battle worn 1982 Dodge Ramcharger that has a blown Chrysler small block on it. The truck is always dirty and stuff but like Norris, it has the power to handle virtually any situation. Its true moment of greatness comes when the truck (with Norris inside) is shoved into a huge hole in the ground by a bulldozer and then buried over. Unconscious, Norris awakens to find himself in a heck of a spot. In true bad ass fashion, he pops a beer open, dumps some over his head, fires the truck up, switches the blower on (yeah it has a Mad Max style roots blower you can shut off), puts his foot to the wood and drives that mother out from under ground, running over a bad guy in the process. Car guy movie making at its finest! He then goes on (like Bronson’s character above) to kill the bad guy and everyone working for him. Happy endings!

SCROLL DOWN TO WATCH THE VIDEOS OF THESE TWO TRUCKS IN ACTION AND THEN TELL US WHO WOULD WIN IN A DEATH MATCH BY COMMENTING BELOW! REMEMBER, YOU ARE VOTING FOR THE TRUCKS, NOT THE DRIVER SO KEEP YOUR WEIRD NORRIS FETISH OUT OF THIS. YEAH, I’M LOOKING AT YOU!

Like this is even a question. Lone Wolf McQuade in a landslide. Bronson’s ok and all, but come on. It can outrun the new partner, shove the jerk fed’s Suburban out of the way, and by the way, blower and nitrous! (there’s a shot where he turns the bottle on) Super badderasser!

  3. weasel 1

this one is to close to call. as a loyal member of the blue oval army i am going with the Ford

Gotta be Mr Bronson…can’t believe how much abuse that Ford takes, even if they destroyed a few to make it. Makes me want to go buy one….

  5. The Outsider

    I named Papa Outsider’s 1970 F100 “Mr. Majestyk” when I inherited it . . . so there’s no doubt Majestyk’s “BUILT FORD TOUGH!”

    Majestyk is majestic.

You have to go with any truck drives in the desert but has four inches of mud on it. And, it has a blower with a switch!!!

  7. crazy canuck

F100 had a 68 merc with a fe couldnt kill that truck. we don need no steeenking blower

  8. Alan Hynes

I’ll take the Caterpillar D6C, 10K series dozer they buried the ram with. Probably still earning a living today!

Both tough trucks but the Ford edges ahead for me.. since it’s a real largely unmodified truck and survived! I didn’t buy the on-off blower in Mad Max either although it’s a cool idea.
And before the hate mail starts.. I’m a Dodge guy.
