When the first comment on a YouTube video is, “Do you like having steel balls?” you know something cool is contained in that digital footage. The fact is, anyone loony enough to (a) build a freaking go kart with a Gixxer engine on it and then (b) skilled enough to actually drive it at any speed above “donuts” is a bad ass in our book. The guy driving the thing in this video clearly knows what he is doing and even then he seems to be on the ragged edge. In the caption under the video the poster claims that the kart was ill-handling because the front brakes were failing. We think he was on the ragged edge because this thing basically has an inverse power to weight ratio!
You know the guy is the man when he is in a full power slide around some barriers about 15 feet after the starting line. The acceleration of this little bastard is amazing, shocking even. Couple that big speed in with the screaming wail of the engine and you end up with something fit for a nightmare. The poster of the video is an experienced racer and kart driver. He has videos of a 600cc motorcycle engine powered machine he built previously, so we guess he worked his way up to this one. Your results of jumping onto this thing and hammering the gas may be slightly different than what you’ll see below.
