(Photos by Bob Boudreau) – So this is one of those “quality over quantity” galleries. Why? Well there are two sequences of photos we have actually removed from this gallery and we’re going to do blogs on those photos as told by the parties involved in a short time, so what we’re left with here is a nicely distilled down collection of killer old drag racing photos from Bob Boudreau. There are cars in these photos. You’ll see Garlits, Gapp and Roush, etc, but they aren’t the story here. The story here are the shots of Linda Vaughn and the Hurst girls in all of their 1970s glory. Linda is one of the great ambassadors and icons of the racing community and the candid shot of here looking down over Buster Couch and laughing is all time. Boudreau…you’ve done good!
We’re done yapping. Hit the link below to see this fresh gallery. Oh, and sit tight because we have some truly awesome historical content coming out of these photos. We’re talking stories of harrowing disaster, and hilarious debacle. You’ll dig. We’re promise.
Looks like the car she’s riding in is the 1928 Porter from the old TV show, “My Mother the Car”. Anybody else?
