Hot Rods, Customs, Street Machines, And More From The Street Machine Nationals In Pomona

Hot Rods, Customs, Street Machines, And More From The Street Machine Nationals In Pomona

It seems like there is a never ending supply of car related stuff to do here in Southern California, and this past weekend was not different. But the big draw of the weekend was the Street Machine Nationals in Pomona where they had the TCI/Wilwood Autocross, a dyno shootout, speed stop, burnout contest, pinup girl contest, cars inside, cars outside, and lots of food, vendors, and beer. Sounds pretty good doesn’t it? The crowds were huge, and we were swarmed by them as we did a complete TCI 1966 Chevy II Pro Touring IFS front suspension and rear 4-Link installation, along with a full Wilwood Disc Brake System, LIVE on Saturday for all the folks on site and on the web to see. It was a riot, and we got it all done just before the sun started setting. We had so much fun, and learned a few things, so we’re going to do more stuff like that with TCI in the future so stay tuned.

But on Sunday the family wanted to come out and just walk the show, so we wandered and hung out talking to friends, acquaintances, and vendors. And ate ice cream. It was great!

All the while, our little Ansel Adams Cole was busy shooting photos and we’ve got almost 100 here for you to check out. Truth be told, there were hundreds more cars than this, but the place was so packed it was hard to shoot photos of them!

We had a great time and would certainly recommend you hit this show next year. It’s got the right vibe, people are having fun, and the LA County Fairgrounds is a great venue.

Here are all of Cole’s photos.
