Is Finnegan’s New Trailer The BEST Drag And Drive Trailer EVER Built?! A Few Stand Out, And This One Might Be At The Top Of That List

Drag and Drive trailers range from the sublime to the ridiculous and everything in between. I’ve built big ones, small ones, and medium sized ones, but at each drag and drive event you see more and more custom setups. Some folks go with tiny and simple, others go with open trailer designs, while some go with a hybrid approach that has most of the contents inside, but some stuff outside too. The key is to have everything you need in the trailer without too much, and to have it all in a place where you can efficiently get to it when you need it. Keeping your tools ready for your turnaround from the street to the race track is key, but having what you might need on the side of the road is just as important.

I’ve seen plenty of trailers that hold everything, but that require you to empty the entire trailer just to get anything done. That is not efficient or fun.

One of my favorite trailers is Alex Taylor’s drag and drive trailer. It has sides that open with tools mounted in those sides like you would do on pegboard in your garage at home. It’s smart as hell, and lots of people have opened their eyes to custom organization after seeing hers.

But at Sick Week 2025, Mike Finnegan’s new drag and drive trailer was the talk of the town. I mean everyone was looking at this thing and talking about how nice it was, including Finnegan himself. He had it built, and man was it done nice. It’s got storage, efficiency, tool access and so much more. But we’ll let you see for yourself in the video below.
