We have showed off some absolutely killer miniature engines here before but this one may actually take the cake. You are about to see a 1/3 scale miniature V10 engine fire up, idle, and get revved on its stand. This thing has dual overhead cams, a dry sump oiling system, was 100% hand crafted, and it has Megasquirt EFI providing the fuel! Oh, we should have mentioned that it uses coil on plug ignition as well.

From the beautiful polished headers to the harmonic balancer and literally everything that comes between them, this is a truly magnificent piece of engineerings. We got the tip off to its existence by BangShifter SuperBuickGuy and we’re thankful that he sent word along because we know that everyone here is going to LOVE watching and hearing this engine run. The engine has a multiple plate hydraulic style clutch hooked to it and after looking at the comments under the video it seems as though the owner is debating building a scale off road vehicle of this engine to power or selling it and moving onto his next build.

The reality is that with some tricky camera work and the right background you would never know that this was a scale engine until you saw a person’t hand near it. Every miniature engine is a wonder of creativity and engineering but this miniature V10 is completely in another league from anything we have ever seen before.

The best part? He plans on measuring the horsepower output of the engine in the near future!

These little engines really amaze me. All of the craftsmanship to make something like this is awesome.

The build thread is epic, this guy has so much talent. He also built a similar V8 earlier that can you can search for.
