Driving a Funny Car of any significance is pretty serious business. Just because it doesn’t have a huge huffer, nitro running through the fuel system, or potential to run 300mph doesn’t mean the car is easy to drive. Case in point, this video flip book of still photos taken of a wild flopper wreck that happened at Lebanon Valley Dragway a couple weeks back. Photographer Jim Knights caught the whole sequence and it is one of the nuttiest we have ever seen.
Any number of things could have happend. Maybe the throttle hung open, perhaps something in the rear end broke, maybe something got under one of the tires. Either way, this car essentially barrel rolled over the Christmas Tree and ended up on the roof before the sixty foot mark.
