It is always cool to get a glimpse the personal lives of drag racing’s elite and NHRA Pro Stock team owner Ken Black is certainly in that club. He owns the team of four time Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson, and it appears by the looks of this Nova that Ken Black is a hardcore gearhead. The Nova sports a retro paint scheme that certainly harks back to the earliest days of the Pro Street craze and that is cool in our book.
The engine is a 400ci Donovan aluminum small block Chevy mill topped with a 6-71 blower, fed by a couple of Holley carbs. The cylinder heads are from Brodix and that’s about all we know as far as the motor goes. Obviously, knowing the guy behinfd this car, we’re going to assume that they’re all top shelf pieces in there.
According to the seller, the car has less than 1,000 miles on it since it was built a couple years ago, mostly due to Ken being sidelined with health issues. He’s doing well now, but 2010 was a tough stretch for him. If you hit the link below and look at the photos from under the car, the thing looks like it has 100 miles on it!
