We do nothing to glorify street racing here at BangShift because it often ends up like this video does. Most people that do stupid crap like this run out of talent before they grab fourth gear, just like the offending driver in this video. The dude who filmed it had one hell of a hunch though, knowing that the two Corvette drivers were about to throw down at the stoplight in suburbia.
Like the video of the guy crashing his junk at the autocross last week, this driver spins the tires with a pretty good head of steam, over corrects the car and then manages to collect up the dude he was “racing” against. We think the actual cause of this wreck was the driver violently shifting the car with his right hand and jerking the wheel with his left, causing the fish tail and the inevitable and very expensive ending.
The video stops just after the two cars tangle so our imagination is left to wonder how jacked up the car in the woods ended up being. This video was posted on 11/24, so Thanksgiving was certainly less fun for the two dudes involved in this mess.
