I am a freak for 1970s Ford trucks. Bump sides, dent sides, two wheel drive and four wheel drive, I love them all. This truck is simply stunning for about 600 different reasons. The truck is a one family owned, 390 powered, survivor that looks as good as it did the day it rolled out of the factory. The truck has less than 63,000 original miles, it has a 390 engine, and the ad claims that it is one of only TWO trucks built in 1973 with the optional tool box. We have no idea if that is true but if it is, this is one really rare 1973 Ford F-250 XLT.
The engine is original, the interior is original, the engine and transmission along with the suspension is original as well. The bed shell is old school and again, in absolutely perfect condition. The only real wear visible on this truck is from the “simulated” Walnut steering wheel center where someone clearly rested their hands frequently. The paint is mint, the wheels are mint, I cannot see any rust, and the damned bed looks like it was barely ever used. The stock hubcaps are on it for Pete’s sake!
The truck does have dual exhaust with bullet style mufflers so that 390 will sound pretty good going down the road. There’s air conditioning, and other upgraded features on the truck as well. The guy who bought this new was seemingly buying his dream truck and planned on never letting it go. He didn’t.
If there is another 1973 Ford F-250 XLT nicer than this one in the USA I want to see it. This truck is amazing.
Wow, wow, wow.
I hope Richard from gasmonkey dont see it, or next week it will be hotrodded with a Crown vic frame and fake patina. But not before he has burned the rear tires off it doing burnouts in the parkinglot.
Some vehicles need to be left alone, like this one.
Drool…
only needs the XLT badge for the grill
