(Photos by Charles Wickam) – When you throw a truck show in Texas you know it is going to be well attended! The 2018 Lonestar Throwdown was a blast and it was full to the gills with 2,000 show vehicles of all shapes and sizes. There’s an interesting thing about the world of hot rodding and modifying trucks.

People are polarized on all sides of it. Some people really love the look of an old rig laying frame on display. Other people hate the look of an old rig laying frame. Some guys like the huge lift and short sidewall tire thing that is going on these days. Some guys like beaters, pro street, pro touring, etc. The one thing we can agree on is the fact that shows like this are proof that the hobby is busy and people are still building the stuff they want, how they want it.
