(Photos by David Whealon) — Tractor pullers are a lucky bunch. Unlike drag racing where the sport gets packed up and parked for months there’s a winter season to look forward to. The outdoor pulls at the end of the year are like those drag races at the tail of the season in many ways. How? Everyone shows up for one last weekend of action. The air is cooler so the horsepower levels are up, and the fear levels of breaking stuff are down a little bit.
Like many motorsports these days, truck and tractor pulling are really doing a good job bringing cars and people at an awesome rate. Full grandstands and full fields in all categories are really, really good to see these days. The fans pay their money to get entertained and the pullers love to go hammer down with all those eyeballs on them.
This was a great event and this is our first of two galleries from it.
Nice pics! We certainly enjoyed the event and are looking forward to next year already! The Southern tour from NY is always fun for our team, we enjoy meeting the fans and seeing some old friends.
