And frankly it does not have to be a car, right? This thing in a pulling truck would probably be pretty freaking outstanding as well! You are looking at one of the neatest 427ci Ford engines we have seen in a while. The big story here is the Arias hemi heads that live on the block. We have seen these engines with these heads before but we have never actually seen one with a blower on it. That ramps up the ridiculous levels of awesome by a factor of 40 times!
The block is a 351 Windsor style piece from Dart, the blower is a, get this, 14-71 Littlefield so it is not some little puffer. That thing is moving massive volumes of air and it is making boost for days. The builders expect the engine to make somewhere around 2,400hp…give or take.
With a 4340 bad ass crank, and rods of the same alloy along with Arias pistons, custom ground camshaft for this application, and basically every other big dollar part you can think of stuffed in this little package, it really is something else. The mill has 12:1 compression, which is pretty wild even when you think about the fact that the small block HAS to run alcohol in this configuration. That seems stout to us but hey, we’re just monkeys with a keyboard and these guys are engine builders so they are into it.
You can go racing, pulling, speedboating, or any other damn thing any way you want, but if you want to do it differently than everyone else with some legit flair and personality, this is the way to go. The best part is that it can all be yours for the easy to blow price of $31,000.
That’s a lot of dough, but this is a lot of engine.
A bit odd to see the blower belt hanging in midair like that. Isn’t there usually a tensioner involved?
This is wild! Never knew Arias made a head for the small block Ford. These heads work really well in the Top Alcohol classes on a big block rat motor.
After I win the lotto max tomorrow this will in my ranchero
With an engine that rare and beautiful it should in the bedroom to drool over!
