Project Isolation Restoration Product Test Video: Does Evapo-Rust Really Deliver? See For Yourself

If it is too good to be true it probably is, right? That’s the normal scene when it comes to anything in life. Whether we are talking about a car that looks too good to be priced so cheap, a product that seems to have the ability to do anything with minimal effort, or a quick fix for an otherwise deep seated problem, there’s always a level of caution to use when getting your hopes up too high.

All this being said there are products and things that out perform even our expectations and without getting too far down the road here, Evapo-Rust is one of them. Just watch the video below and see why. The stuff works incredibly well and does so without any hassle.

To me, the most impressive thing about Evapo-Rust is the fact that it is non-toxic, it does not smell, you do not need to handle it with gloves, it can be use indoors, and it can be used and used again. I contacted the company and requested a five gallon bucket. Using it as a kind of hanger tank, the product has performed above even my lofty expectations.

The video below is an example of the results I have been getting using a method I can simply call, “set it and forget it”. I dunk the parts for 24 hours and they come out perfect. Awesome stuff. Buy it with no hesitation if you need rust removed, no matter how nasty it is.

You need to put some really rusty stuff in there. The small engine parts looked good before going in there.

My brother used this on parts from his 32 Ford project. It took off 80+ years worth of rust and left things looking nearly new.

I’ve been using that stuff for several years and always with good results. Here’s some tips for using it…

    1. Obviously the newer the fluid is the better it works. Once you use it a few times it’ll start to get dark even if you add some regular water to it to replace some of the volume. Once it gets past a “medium brown” shade it’s pretty much done and will need replaced. Once it gets black it doesn’t do much at all if anything.

    2. The cleaner you can get the part using conventional methods before you put it in the better. The more gunk and grease you leave on the part the less effective it’ll be and the quicker the fluid will get dirty. That stuff isn’t cheap so the longer you can keep it clean and use it the better.

    3. From lots of experimenting, if you let something in for more than 2 days you’re basically wasting your time. The stuff is designed to attack oxidation and usually after 24 hours the part will be as clean as it’s ever gonna get.

Oh well, just figured I’d chime in. Another thing they make that works really well is Thermocure. You replace your antifreeze with it for about a day and it gets the rust out of your engine block and the rest of the system. Both good products. And no I don’t work for the company but if Dave and Natasha wanna send me a check for bragging them up I’ll take it!
