When you think about the “famous” cars that you know from events or youtube channels or tv shows, especially the really nice ones, you sometimes assume that they have all high dollar parts and are completely sorted with no upgrades needed. This could not be further from the truth in most cases, because every one of these cars grows and morphs and becomes what you see here over time JUST LIKE YOUR CAR AT HOME!!! I emphasize this because we seem to think that our own stuff is the only thing that doesn’t have the latest and greatest and this just isn’t the case most of the time. And this goes for Alex Taylor’s Badmaro too!
If you aren’t familiar with the car, it is an 8 second street driven Camaro that has all the driver comforts you expect like AC, stereo, etc along with a twin turbo LS, chutes, cage, etc, etc. It is a legit 8 second, heavy, leaf sprung street strip car that she drives all the time and races on events like Drag Week and Rocky Mountain Race Week. And looking inside and under the hood you’d think there isn’t anything that hasn’t been done to this ride.
Well, you’d be wrong. And Alex laughs about it in the video.
Like a lot of cars, it got quicker and quicker without changing some stuff like the brakes. It has a completely stock style drum brake package on it which sounds a bit surprising considering how fast this car runs down the track. It does have upgraded suspension almost everywhere, but the front shocks are simple Single Adjustable QA1 shocks that are more of a universal style than one that is tailored to her level of performance. But thankfully all that is changing as Alex got some new parts in to replace the old style stoppers and the front shock with the new QA1 Mod series that are super adjustable and super rad.
