Hood Up At 160 mph?! No Bueno! 1320Video Rocky Mountain Race Week Video Day 1

If the hood opening at 160 was the only drama on Day 1 of Rocky Mountain Race Week, that would have been fine with even this guy, but it certainly didn’t stop there. This is one of those events that test man just as much as machine. In fact we know of a couple folks who just couldn’t hang with the pace, the heat and the stress, even though their cars were still running and driving. We aren’t those folks though, and either are Kyle and the crew at 1320Video, so here is their first video from Rocky Mountain Race Week 2020. We have plenty more to share, and of course the daily live feed from each track, so you won’t miss a thing.

We’ve got drag racing starting this afternoon at 4 pm Mountain time from Pueblo Motorsports Park in Colorado and it promises to be an interesting one. This is a key day for many competitors to make sure they either step up or that they don’t fall down. You can’t win if you don’t finish, and finishing requires being smart and knowing when to push it or not. Some folks found out the hard way on Day 1 that pushing it a tad too far might cost you a whole week.

GEARS the deeper the better I ran 4.10 in a DD Id go 4.56 if it was a drag beater even 4.88 – look up the J mod if it is a 4R70W ( I think it works on AOD-E’s too) I had every bolt on in the book and went 13.5 @ 103 with a 100 shot but it was a PI motor not sure what they have but a progressive controller and a 150 shot is fine if they pull timing out. Deep gears puts you into 4th at the trap so be careful 4th is a little fragile. If you can find a 3000 converter it will help loads
