(By Tom Lohnes) – The new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are out, or at least the concept versions are.
Surprisingly not being styled to crazily retro, the new Wagoneer enters the market with a fresh face, interior, and 24-inch optional wheels. The fact that any vehicle offers 24-inch wheels from factory is wild, and I’m going to guess that it won’t be the best riding option with the low-profile tires that are glued onto them.
Pricing for the base Wagoneer should be around $60,000 and it will most likely be using the aging 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The Grand Wagoneer on the other hand, ditches the Tahoe and Expedition as its archrivals and goes straight to the top to compete with the Top Dog Range Rover, Escalade, and Navigator. Pricing for the Grand Wagoneer should start around $80,000 and it should have a top of the line trim that competes with Range Rover’s near-$200,000 SVA. This ultra-luxurious Jeep should pack Hellcat power without the trackhawk name. Six interior screens are standard for the Grand Wagoneer, as well as quilted leather and high-quality wood throughout.
If I were you, I would order one of these things before the wait list fills up. It looks extremely promising, and it might give Jeep some of the recognition as a luxury brand it deserves.
Not very attractive at all. The sad thing is, it’s taken a few years to design and engineer this beast, only to release it as a leftist administration is about to take power in the US. The market for big vehicles will tank as they force socialism down our throats, and they’ll end production no matter how good a vehicle it is.
No politics ….Enforce the rules Tom !!
Yay! Jeep just made another gargantuan mall barge.
Looks like they got some design cues from Lincoln too.
What the hell were they thinking.
Just want to say hello, I’m a new here.
Awesome, now if their quality wasn’t horrible they would have a winner. My co worker had a Grand Cherokee, lifter or rod knock, coolant issues, most items not covered by warranty, 10k out of pocket on a three year old vehicle. POS
