It’s Not A Malibu Grand Prix Car, But It’s Still Adult Go Kart Fun For Cheap. We Want This!

It’s Not A Malibu Grand Prix Car, But It’s Still Adult Go Kart Fun For Cheap. We Want This!

The Malibu Grand Prix mini open-wheel cars from the 1980s and 1990s were epic. They were big Go-Karts, with suspension, slicks, and some power because they ran on a much larger track than a normal go-kart would. We loved them, and on occasion you see them for sale and I want one. I have ZERO business buying one at the moment, but when this sucker here came up for sale on Marketplace I had to share it. The tires are wrong, but that could be fixed for sure. What is cool is that this adult size go-kart does have a good body on it, front and rear suspension, and comes with both 400 and 600 cc engines. It doesn’t run, but that can’t be too hard to fix, and the brakes and steering do work according to the seller.

Looking at it, the engine appears to be two-cylinder, air-cooled, and we’re going to assume it’s a 4-stroke. There are some similarities to the Malibu Grand Prix cars going on here, but it doesn’t appear to have started life as one. I know some of the Malibu cars were rotary-powered, but I’m not sure if that was all of them or just the early models. The suspension looks a little different on this one as well, compared to what photos I can find. I haven’t contacted the seller, but one of you should and then email me when you find out the details before buying it! [email protected]

Here is the seller’s description: CLICK HERE FOR THE ORIGINAL AD AND TO CONTACT THE SELLER

Is this author remotely a ‘gear head’? This thing is obviously not a 4 stroke. It even has an expansion chamber exhaust.

I’m curious as to what it’s selling for. It has the bones of a mini Lola that jack and john Delorian built as part of the company but failed and sold their assets and designs to Malibu Grand Prix. I own the last Virage ever built and is condition is pristine compared to this car. However it’s a part of history so if it can be bought I’d like the info
