Garage Find Z/28 Camaro! This 1980 Z/28 Has Been Sitting For Years But Is Driving Now!

Everyone loves a good barn find or garage find story. Some car that has been sitting for years, with the same owner, and a story about why it is where it is, always makes for a cooler purchase. This particular 1980 Z/28 Camaro is pretty cool looking and has been owned by the same folks for 20 years and stored for the past 5 years. It looks like a really solid and cool car, but like anything that has been sitting, it is going to need some love to be hot rodding ready. We can’t wait to see this sucker doing burnouts at the new race track too.

It is fun to see just how nice this car is and can be after some pretty simple work. I’m sure it will be even nicer with more work, but if it was no better than after a good wash, I’d drive it regularly. I love it.

Here is the video description:

In today’s video, we go over finding, uncovering and rescuing this 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. It is a total gem of a garage find, and what everyone wishes to find out there! It has the factory LM1 (350)/Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission. The car was owned by the same person for around the last 20 years, and parked for the last 5. It’s really cool, and drives great now that it has been washed, had some fresh fuel ran through it, and got some new spark plugs/wires. We will go over paint correction and interior detailing in the next video of this car. Thanks for checking out the video!

I guess My idea of a “garage find” is a little different. That picture looks like somebody just piled stuff on and around it for the photo. Hell, some times my daily driver looks that way when I’m trying to fine something in the garage.

I guess I must have cut the rear drivers tire, and brought my spare Iroc wheels to mount for dramatic effect too huh…. The picture was real, and I asked the owner to not even touch it until I got there so I could at least take a photo of how it was when I saw it. It’s not faked. The car was a shelf for kid stuff.
