What’s cool about this video and the car featured therein is the fact that it’s kind of the modern profile of hot rodding, right? It’s a guy who did his research on a platform of car, created a mental plan of what he wanted, and then went hunting. Unlike back in the day, his hunt was electronic and he located a car 1,000 miles away. Corvette purchased and limped home on a road trip, the fun of tweaking and working on it began. The stock TPI engine lasted a while but a budget deal on a LS engine was too good to pass up, and again, discovered electronically via a friend’s Facebook page. The addition of a full compliment of Ride Tech suspension pieces has allowed this C4 Corvette to really rip between the cones.
This is about as balanced and nuanced a build as you are going to find these days. The spots were carefully picked. The rear end has been re-geared but the rest of it is stock, the stock ABS is on the car, the transmission is stock, and the list goes on and on. This is really about creating a balanced car. Not a machine that brags on horsepower, brags on insane custom fabbed suspension parts, or lightweight body panels.
We’d love to own this sucker. How about you?
