It has been said that curiosity killed the cat and while that may be true, it never killed anyone to go the extra mile and inspect an engine they just bought. On this episode of the continuing adventures of Uncle Tony, he and his right hand man Mopar Al tear down a freshly built, never run, 440ci big block that Tony’s pal Kiwi just bought.
Why did they teardown a brand new engine? Well, you’ll see why just a couple of moments into the video when the guys discover all kinds of stuff that would have been crummy if left unattended before starting the engine. Hell, the thing was actually missing some parts that wouldn’t have allowed it to initially run, anyway!
The guy got a sweet deal on this engine, at least we think. He would have not been saying that had this teardown not happened. In fact, there’s a BIG discovery late in the video that could have been a real bad surprise when this thing gets driven in anger at the drags.
