(Photos by David Whealon – DWPhotos) – GALOT Motorsports Park continues to be one of the true gems of the American racing landscape these days through the diversity of events that they put on. Drag racing, tractor pulling, dirt drags, and monster trucks are but a few of the styles of competition that this fantastic track hosts. Our man David Whealon was on site to check out the action at he 2018 GALOT Monster Truck Throwdown recently and he sent us an awesome dispatch of action photos to prove it.

We always revel at what today’s monster trucks are capable of. Back in the old days of these things when guys first started jumping them, they were as violent and punishing on the drivers as you could imagine. We’re not saying that the guys have it easy today but the maneuvers you see in these photos would have literally broken the backs of the OG drivers in the 1980s. The show was fantastic and the kids loved the trucks like they have since the explosion of monster truck shows more than 30 years ago now.

Little gearheads in the making and thanks to GALOT Motorsports Park, they saw their dreams come true right in front of their eyes.
