Cruise-In Gallery: The JDRF Cruisin’ For A Cure Show At Bruster’s Ice Cream In Bowling Green

The JDRF Crusin’ For A Cure car show at Bruster’s in Bowling Green is one of those neat once-a-week gearhead get-togethers that brings out some of the more interesting metal in the community. We love it for several reasons: a good range of cars both in year and value, the relaxed atmosphere, and of course the close proximity to good ice cream. You might find a bit of irony with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund hosting a car show next to an ice cream shop, but when it’s hot out and you’re standing on parking lot tarmac, ice cream sounds absolutely lovely. The cause is good, the cars are good, and the show isn’t so big that you need hours to traverse it. And it’s not just the same folk week after week…sure, there are regulars, but there are also cars that appear at random. From mellow hot rods to restored musclecars to the kid with a Volaré-based Duster that was willing to park in the lot, all were welcomed and all were checked out. Support your local car shows!
