100 Photos of Chevy Novas!

The Chevy Nova is a staple at car shows, drag strips, cruise nights, autocrosses, and anywhere that car guys are getting together with their classic American iron. Hell, my dad still races the 1970 Nova we campaigned together for a few seasons before I self-diagnosed myself as the worst bracket racer in recorded history. Pop has actually added another Nova to the race fleet. He’s got a pair! Their size and relatively light weight make them a good platform for any number of project themes. The cool part is that the Nova carries all of those different looks well. Some cars look weird as anything other than boulevard bruisers, but the Nova does not suffer this fate.

On the generational level, I think both Chad and I are most partial to the 1968-1972 body style. He owns one, and as I said above, I cut my drag racing teeth behind the wheel of one. That’s not to say we have anything against the 1962-1967 models. Their nice lines and boxy shape are appealing in their own cool way. This gallery has ’em from all of the “good generations”. We didn’t include any of the disgraceful rebadged Toyotas that were sold under the Chevy name in the 1980s. Those suck out loud.
