(Photos by Joe Grippo) – You may be wondering why we are running these photos from the 2017 NHRA Dutch Classic at Maple Grove Raceway a pretty decent stretch after the event was held. No, we did not forget them. No we did not leave them under a stack of papers in the office, there’s a slight method to the madness here. If you are a racing fan anywhere outside of the places that run stuff year ’round non-stop you know that the most painful part of the year is the month or two after the season stops. We’re just trying to ease the pain for all of us!

These photos are more of the great coverage that Joe Grippo snapped at his home track and you’ll love them. From trip-five Chevrolets to the hottest body styles of today, super stock in all of its forms rules pretty hard. If you don’t have a little extra love for the AMC stuff in your heart, you need to find it. Those are real racers getting it done with some older stuff and still sticking with the brand that they love.
